Before you can back up or restore your company file using QuickBooks Online Backup, you must first subscribe to this service.
Note: Once you subscribe to QuickBooks Online Backup, QuickBooks defaults to this option when you attempt to back up or restore your data.
To do this task
Go to the File menu, click Save Copy or Backup to open the backup wizard.
Click Backup copy and then click Next.
Click Online backup.
(Optional) Click Options to set your backup defaults, such as reminders and verification levels.
Click Next.
The company file closes and QuickBooks verifies the data before opening the Online Backup application.
Use the Online Backup application to back up your company file.
Note: If you schedule backups through this service, be sure to leave your computer on, close the company file, and check that your Internet connection is active.
