You can sign up for QuickBooks Payroll either via the Internet or by telephone.
You can sign up for the service when you use the payroll setup interview to set up your payroll data. Step 2 guides you through the sign-up process.
If you've already set up your payroll data or you're converting to QuickBooks Payroll from another integrated payroll service, go to the Employee menu, choose Payroll Services, and then choose Add/Change payroll service to sign up for QuickBooks Payroll. The interview guides you through the sign-up process.
If you don't have an Internet connection
To sign up by telephone, contact the payroll service.
A service representative will collect some basic information from you and provide you with a payroll service key, which you use to complete the sign-up process.
